A diagnostic imaging firm is to create 100 new jobs in counties across the country as part of a €15m investment.
The new jobs will be a mix of clinical and administrative roles and are being created by Affidea, which has undergone a major rebrand and was formerly Euromedic.
Affidea also announced it is setting up operations across the west coast and the Midlands in addition to existing facilities in Dundrum, Kildare, Cork and Kilkenny.
Attending this morning’s announcement, Taoiseach Enda Kenny said the investment was a “vote of confidence” in the economy.
The firm now employs 135 full time staff here with a total investment to date of €55m since entering the Irish market in 2007.
It will carry out 160,000 MRI and other diagnostic services next year.
