“Big Data is a sector in which major growth is predicted in coming years, and in which Ireland has significant competitive advantages, between our existing base of companies in this sector, our skilled workforce and publicly-funded research in this area. That is why we are targeting this sector for employment growth as part of our Action Plan for Jobs. Today’s very welcome announcement that Quantcast, a world-leading company in this sector, is establishing its EMEA headquarters in Ireland with the creation of 100 new jobs demonstrates the potential that exists for Ireland in this sector. I am determined to build on this in the coming months through the Action Plan for Jobs to develop this sector in Ireland and help create the jobs we need.”
