Brendan Long (Head of Accounting and Finance, CareerWise Recruitment) was guest speaker at a recent CIMA Western CPD event. The event was held in the Strand Hotel in Limerick on the 24th May.
Brendan presented to delegates on how to get that winning edge in interviews and in your CIMA career.
Speaking at the event Mary Dullaghan BBS FCMA CGMA also touched on AICPA’s joint venture with CIMA.
CIMA is the world’s leading and largest management accounting professional body that prepares people for careers in business and government and establishes management accounting best practices.
Officials with the AICPA and CIMA want to create a new association that would, integrate operations, strategy, and management from both organisations to further advance advocacy, achieve economies of scale, and better support accounting professionals. The new association would be called the Association of International Certified Professional Accountants.
The new merged organisation would enhance advocacy, with the voice of more than 600,000 current and next-generation professionals helping to shape policies for the future.
