CareerWise recently attended a recent CIPD MidWest event sponsored by VHI Healthcare at the Raddisson Blu Hotel, Limerick.
Creating a Wellbeing Culture
Wellbeing in the workplace is becoming more important for employers because of the impact to their bottom line. Organisations are beginning to understand the link between an engaged happy employee and performance on the job; equally the link between a stressed unproductive employee and absenteeism and illness.
The event highlighted these links and the relevance of actioning a Corporate Wellness policy to create a Wellbeing Culture. Various tools and interventions both direct and indirect were discussed to assist HR professionals to deal with stressors in the workplace and with individuals.
