A Learning and Development Lead is required on a PERMANENT basis by CareerWise Recruitment for our Limerick based Biopharmaceutical Client. This is a unique and exciting opportunity to be a part of the Human Resources Team for the startup of a greenfield manufacturing site.
Our client is currently constructing a Next Generation Biotech Drug Substance Manufacturing Facility in Limerick, Ireland. This facility will be our client's most technically advanced manufacturing site and will include next-generation manufacturing technologies and advanced data collection and analysis platforms that will deliver improvements in safety and quality, and increased productivity and process performance.
Role of this position
The Lead - Learning and Development role (note: this is an individual contributor role) will play a key part in the Limerick HR Team, in this role you need to:
- Be effective at building a network within the business, collaborating at all levels, at times in an informal manner, to drive initiatives/decisions/change while setting up the L&D structure for the new site
- Act as first point of contact for managers and employees and provide guidance, solutions and support on L&D programmes and initiatives
- Drive the ongoing development, growth and execution of the L&D site strategy and capabilities
- Own, deliver and further develop our internal L&D programme content
- Deliver global leadership development programmes. Point of contact for site with global leadership development colleagues
- Collaborate to drive and influence internal L&D process improvements that impact results
- Contribute to site wide employee engagement, culture and wellbeing initiatives
- Develop/enhance the Limerick HR induction program
- Evaluate the effectiveness of learning interventions and other related initiatives
- Provide L&D Metrics / analytics that support the business setup and the long-term success of the site
- Engage with external partners where necessary to ensure company values and high levels of excellence are achieved
- Work with external vendors on invoicing and related administration
- During the setup phase, you may also support other activities within the HR function
- Be flexible to assist HR team as required with ad hoc projects/duties as required
JOB REQUIREMENTS
- 3rd level Hons Degree in relevant discipline
- 5+ years relevant experience in a manufacturing L&D environment
- Professional qualification in Organizational Psychology/Training/Learning and Development/Human Resource development essential
- Training delivery and evaluation (previously Train the Trainer QQI Level 6) or equivalent
- Psychometric qualification an advantage
- Experience in a pharmaceutical manufacturing environment favourable
- Professional membership of relevant bodies (CIPD, IITD, PSI, BPS etc) favourable
- Demonstrated previous oversight of L&D activities and metrics
- Experience of delivering to diverse audiences and tailoring approaches
- Experience in SuccessFactors or Learning Management Systems (LMS)
- Experienced user of MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, Access, PowerPoint)
