Logistics & Scheduling Supervisor

A LOGISTICS AND SCHEDULING SUPERVISOR is required by CareerWise Recruitment for an industry leading laboratory solutions client for a fulltime, permanent position in Galway.

The LOGISTICS AND SCHEDULING SUPERVISOR will be responsible for the planning, scheduling and logistics of a team of drivers and samplers visiting customer sites across Ireland.

Role of this position

* Develop and manage daily, weekly, and monthly schedules for samplers and drivers.

* Ensure optimal allocation of resources to meet client requirements and deadlines.

* Implement strategies to optimize routes, reduce travel time, and improve overall efficiency.

* Manage the implementation of logistics schedules, policies, procedures, techniques, standards, and systems with the team, ensuring samplers and drivers have appropriate support.

* Liaise with clients regarding scheduling and sample collection.

* Manage stock levels and order supplies required for sampling.

* Work with the Finance team to manage the fleet vehicles i.e., Service, driver and vehicle safety etc.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

* Degree in Logistics, Business, or related field desirable.

* 3-5 years’ experience in a scheduling, logistics or an operational role with at least 2 years’ experience in a supervisory role

* Strong people management skills.

* Previous scheduling experience.

* An organised, efficient and detail-oriented approach.

* Initiative and the desire to continuously improve.
