Materials Buyer /Planner

A Materials Buyer / Planner is required by CareerWise Recruitment for our Limerick based pharma client. The role will join a newly established centralised team to manage common raw materials and consumables supply across Ireland and US sites. Please contact Diarmuid Buckley for full details.

Role of this position

• Identify list of centralised raw materials and consumables across three Network sites
• Establishment of the Buying Planning business processes developed during the Kaizen workshops associated with Centralised Material Management project
• Drive the transition plan from site to centralized planning
• Develop all procedures & processes in line with internal manufacturing agreed practices
• Put in place an effective communication process across all functions, sites, central and Vendors
• Key point of contact between sites & vendors to align a network level demand projection & supply response which meets both manufacturing & safety stock requirements
• Establish, maintain and drive key metrics/KPI's to ensure vendors are managed in an effective manner
• Develop standardized process for Suppler Relationship Management
• Develop a standardized process & criteria to enable identification of future materials & consumables to be managed at a network level
• Develop a network level strategy for safety stock & contingency planning
• Work with Procurement to put in place long term contracts with key vendors to ensure long term supply
• Partner with Global Procurement and Manufacturing Strategy on due diligence and sourcing activities

JOB REQUIREMENTS

• Degree plus 3 years of Buying Planning / Purchasing experience
• Project Mgt/Business Process management skills
• Strong analytical and problem solving skills
