Mechanical Design Engineer

A Mechanical Design Engineer is required by CareerWise Recruitment for our Galway based manufacturing client. If you have experience working in machine design, automation and project management then this is the position for you  !!! You  will be responsible for the mechanical design of projects and be actively involved in all stages from procurement right through to the equipment delivery ensuring all URS functionality is achieved !!!.

Role of this position

• Contribute to all stages of the project from the initial proposal through to equipment delivery
• Design the requested equipment to customer requirements and expectations
• Complete component specification to satisfy the design requirements
• Completion of equipment design reviews both locally and at customer locations
• Understanding of critical path items for both design and manufacture to meet project schedule
• Working closely with all internal engineering functions to ensure successful time and cost management of the entire project
• Successful time management skills are required whilst also managing the time associated with various tasks for all personnel assigned to the project team

REQUIREMENTS

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent
• Experience in a machine design role and in the use of 3D CAD design software
• Familiarity in the Industrial automation industry with hands on building experience desirable
• An understanding of electrical and control systems would be a distinct advantage
• Must Have a Drivers Licence.
