Sustainability Manager

A Sustainability Manager is needed by CareerWise Recruitment for our West Cork based food production client. The role is focused on supporting the farmers to achieve sustainability goals and to drive new initiatives.

Role of this position

• Represent the company at farmer and stakeholder meetings, at a local and national level.
• Develop new and manage existing sustainability projects.
• Manage the farm sustainability team, build a positive work environment focused on their development, collaboration, and teamwork.
• Continuously develop our sustainability approach reflecting updates to legislation, guidelines, and best industry practices.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

• Honours Science degree in Agriculture or Environmental Science with a strong interest in sustainability in agriculture.
• Proven record of working with farmers-primary producers in an advisory or consulting capacity.
• Team player with strong networking skills and a proven ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-moving environment.
• Very good communication and presentation skills needed
