Job Description

An experienced Training Coordinator is required on a 12-Month basis by CareerWise Recruitment for our Cork-based multinational pharmaceutical company. Reporting to the Training and Development Manager, this position is responsible for providing training support to identified organisations, managing daily training activities on site and ensuring all employees/contractors are competent and in compliance with regulatory, statutory and corporate activities. Joining a team of 2, including the Training Manager, this role is site-based with flexible working from home Mondays and Fridays following a Training Induction period.

Role of this position

  • Coordinate and schedule Site Induction for New Hires
  • Schedule training sessions across the site
  • Site Administrators for Learning Management System (LMS) - SUMMIT
  • Run weekly training / metrics reports
  • Accurately track and document training according to cGMP guidelines. Performs data entry on training activities, issues reports and department communications
  • Coordinates/schedules training programs within designated employee groups to fulfil on organizational expectations regarding current cGMP and EHS guidelines
  • Assists functional areas in determining training needs for employees/contractors
  • Performs required reporting on training metrics for site/organisation
  • Overall management of LMS to maintain compliance for all users on site
  • Drive green Site Training Metrics
  • Participates as a Training Department representative in committees or organisational groups, as required
  • Achieves high training standards, consistent with management expectations on timeliness of training and target audience coverage
  • Provide training needs analysis as required
  • Source and manage external trainers
  • Assess and evaluates the effectiveness of training design and delivery methods
  • Strives to keep training approaches current and engaging
  • Manage and file all training documentation
  • Problem solving, trouble shooting and solution finding to a variety of training issues/problems
  • TWI Coach / Job Instructor where required
  • Manual handling Instructor qualification where required
  • Audit Ready
  • Interface with all site departments, Operations and Maintenance, Quality and EHS.
  • Participation on Global teams
  • Participation on extra curricula activities, i.e. Student recruitment, TY Student, Career promotion sessions and other


  • Third level qualification in science, engineering or Training discipline or the equivalent
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in a training capacity within a pharmaceutical or GMP regulated operations environment
  • Excellent Communication Skills
  • Knowledge of training methodologies
  • Experience of a Learning Management System (LMS) and advanced excel

  • Experience in LMS
  • High proficiency in MS Office - particularly in MS Excel
