Logistics Manager

A Logistics Manager is needed by CareerWise Recruitment for an Irish global electronics client based in the Cork Office. The person needs a mix of in-house and freight experience managing a carrier network globally for performance, cost effectiveness and trade compliance.

Role of this position

As the Logistics Manager you will ensure the process of moving goods, in a consistent, efficient and safe manner in line with policies, procedures and project plans. You will be responsible for ensuring the right products are delivered to the right location on time, to the quality required and in the most cost-effective way.

• Be able to work with all carriers and best practice around best solutions.
• Develop KPIs that suit the business.
• Manage the carriers, reporting, cost control and performance.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

• The person really needs a strong background in freight logistics.
• Be able to work on inbound and outbound solutions.
• Have knowledge in all modes of transport Air, Sea, Road and using relevant carriers where best needed and suited.
• Have knowledge on compliance, customs, trade law or where to go to get answers.
• Relevant trade or supply chain qualification or equivalent experience in the electronics sector.
