Mechanical Fitter

A Mechanical Fitter is required by CareerWise Recruitment for our Cork based client - a manufacturer of industrial chemicals.

Role of this position

• Work within a team which is responsible for the execution of tasks associated with the safe and reliable mechanical upkeep and improvement of site plant, process and equipment.
• Be available for planned shift cover (if and when required) including the operation of site utilities and facilities, ensuring uninterrupted availability on an ongoing basis.
• To provide for unplanned mechanical & shift cover, on a rotating on-call basis.
• You will work within EHS requirements to ensure safe working systems and practices are followed, taking responsibility for personal actions and the actions of others.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

• Completed an approved apprenticeship as a Mechanical Fitter, with a minimum of 3-5 years' experience in a site role within a Process manufacturing environment.
• Training and experience in pipe fabrication is an advantage.
