Job Description

A Quality Coordinator is required by CareerWise Recruitment for our Galway based client. Reporting to the General Manager - The Quality Coordinator is required to ensure the QMS is established, implemented, and maintained and continually improve its effectiveness in accordance with ISO 9000 standards

Role of this position

  • Ensure the QMS is established, implemented, and maintained and continually improve its effectiveness in accordance with ISO 9000 standards.
  • Provide leadership and direction to the Quality and Site Management Teams to ensure business standards, quality and compliance goals are met.
  • Lead the activities of the Quality Department including IQA's, documentation management and activities related to the QMS.
  • Actively participate in quality improvement plans to enhance customer experience.
  • Coach, develop, train and up skill employees to enhance knowledge of ISO & cGMP Standards.
  • Prepare for, participate in and in some cases, lead customer visits & third-party audits.
  • Ensure ERP system is implemented, maintained, and improved on where necessary. o Monitor training expiry dates and follow up with relevant personnel.
  • Drive business improvements through management, mentoring and support of the QA Team.
  • Maintain quality agreements and collaboration with third parties both intercompany and externally.
  • Identify areas for improvement & work with teams to strive for a best industry standard.
  • Ensure Quality KPI's are achieved and maintained.
  • Provide technical support in the identification of non-compliance or deviation from the QMS and implement corrective action(s) to prevent reoccurrence.
  • Monitor and report on Quality performance on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis at the relevant forums.
  • Schedule, measure & monitor Equipment Maintenance, NCR's, CAPAs, Supplier Issues, Hygiene Standards, Documentation on and off site.
  • Ensure effective internal communication takes place regarding the application and compliance of the QMS.
  • Prepare site specific specifications and checklists. Liaise with SSE management and customer management to determine customer requirements.
  • Participate with Health & Safety induction training of new employees as required.
  • Assist with the review, and update of SSE Safety Statement.
  • Assigning and monitoring of online Health & Safety training.
  • Preparation of power point presentations and toolbox talks.
  • Assist with Accident & Incident investigation ensuring corrective actions are implemented.
  • Organising and scheduling of MEWP training, work at height training, first aid training, safe pass training, safety rep training or other H&S training needs.
  • Provide support to middle and senior management.
  • Management of Health & Safety audits using software package.
  • Preparing Method Statements and Risk Assessments for Industrial team for works including work at height, high risk tasks or other various tasks.
  • Ensure that Manual Handling and refresher training is up to date.
  • Ensure full and accurate health and safety and training records are maintained including chemical awareness training and toolbox talks.
  • Ensure that all Health & Safety policies, procedures, rules, and regulations are adhered to and are regularly reviewed, updated, and communicated.
  • Assist with the development of health & safety policies, systems of work and procedures.
  • Establish a full programme of documented health & safety inspections, audits, and checks.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

:
  • Employees must ensure to carry out their tasks in compliance with the following legislation:
  • Safety, Health, and Welfare at Work Act 2005
  • Safety, Health, and Welfare at Work (General Application) Regulations 2007 to 2020
  • Safety, Health, and Welfare at Work (Chemical Agents) Regulations 2001 to 2021
  • Ensure that processes needed for the QMS is determined and ensure its application throughout the organization.
  • Give operational direction to the QA group in the execution of their duties.
  • Investigate customer complaints and implement corrective actions.
  • Ensure that all documents needed for the QMS are established and adequately defined prior to issue and use.
  • Authorised to decide on resolving conflicts and irregularities regarding the application of the QMS in compliance with ISO 9001 Standard and the company's policies and procedures.
  • Authorized to acquire necessary information on matters that will affect the QMS and execute necessary controls or directives to ensure that the integrity of the QMS will be maintained when changes are being planned and implemented.

Note:
  • It may be necessary to work alternative hours, shift patterns or unsociable hours including weekends from time to time.
