Job Description

A Quality Planner P2 is required on an initial 11-Month basis by CareerWise Recruitment for our Cork-based multinational bio-pharmaceutical client. The Production Planner / Scheduler is responsible for the creation of production schedules and the tracking and reporting of progress to these schedules by the vaccine production area by collaborating with process leads and team. The Production Planner/ Scheduler will also support on the development and implementation of the automation of the production schedule through RTMS to deliver a fully integrated digitally enabled vaccines manufacturing production schedule. This individual will work with the Vaccines Integrated Process Team (IPT), which supports the site delivery of key strategic programs.

Role of this position

  • Plans and prepares production schedules for manufacture of commercial products.
  • Draws up master schedule to establish sequence and lead time of each operation to meet shipping dates according to sales forecasts or customer orders.
  • Analyses production specifications and plant capacity data and performs mathematical calculations to determine manufacturing processes, tools, and human resource requirements.
  • Plans and schedules workflow for each department and operation according to previously established manufacturing sequences and lead times. Position will receive direction and support.
  • Ensure there is a strong safety culture and performance in the execution of production activities.
  • Ensure that the production schedules deliver high-quality outcomes. This includes monitoring quality and taking action to address any quality issues.
  • Oversee all activities associated with the scheduling of production to ensure that production achieves it goals.
  • Develop a comprehensive production plan and schedule that outlines the activities, timelines and resources required for batch production.
  • Identify and manage risks associated with the production schedule. This includes developing a risk management plan, monitoring risks, and taking action to mitigate them.
  • Monitor production schedule progress against the planned schedule. This includes tracking milestones, identifying issues, and taking corrective action as necessary.
  • Communicate with business stakeholders, managing expectations, and addressing concerns.
  • Responsible for the ongoing support of Process leads in their delivery of batch activities, in line with schedule, scope, cost and resource requirements and constraints.
  • Support the consistent use of Production Scheduling digital tool (RTMS) by the Process Leads and support RTMS updates where necessary.
  • As part of the Production scheduling role, support the analysis of production data, identifying lessons learned and improvements.
  • Develop new schedules based on changes to products or on the basis of process improvements.
  • Ensure highest Quality & Compliance standards. Participate and Comply with the Company's Quality Management System.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

  • Relevant 3rd level qualification in Engineering, Business, or a related discipline.
  • Qualification in project management such as PMP desirable.
  • A minimum of eight to ten years in a project-related environment preferable Pharma.
  • Strong knowledge of project and program management methodologies and industry best practice.
  • Proficiency in RTMS or other similar digital planning/scheduling tool desirable.
  • Proficiency in MS Project scheduling tool desirable.
  • Evidence of Continuous Professional Development essential.
  • Proven track record in dealing with complex issues proactively and in a timely fashion and ability to achieve results within the set timeframe.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work within a multi-disciplinary team with excellent people management and leadership skills.
