US software company SmartBear to create 100 new jobs in Galway

A US software firm is to create 100 jobs over the next five years in Co. Galway

Headquartered in Massachusetts, SmartBear develops software that other software developers use to ensure their applications provide a superior user experience. Anyone using some of the world’s most popular online applications have benefited from SmartBear’s technology as it may have been used to develop, test or monitor the operation of these applications.

The new office will create 100 new jobs in sales, marketing, customer support, operations, finance and software development.

SmartBear has customers in over 90 countries and additional offices in the United States, Sweden, Spain and Russia.

Minister for Jobs Richard Bruton welcomed the announcement, which he said was a great boost for he region.

Michelle Galvin

(Recruitment Consultant) B.Comm – Galway Office

Michelle is a graduate of the National University of Ireland, Galway and graduated in 2014 with a Bachelor of Commerce Degree specialising in Human Resource Management.

After graduating from NUIG, Michelle spent 3.5 years working in the Financial Services industry in Dublin and completed a Professional Diploma in Financial Advice in 2016.

Michelle joined CareerWise as a Recruitment Consultant in March 2018 and is based in our Galway office.

Since joining Careerwise, Michelle completed the NRF Programme in Recruitment Practice and is currently studying a Diploma in Human Resource Management in the Athlone Institute of Technology.
