Medical device company Tech Group Europe is to expand its operation in north Dublin after securing a big contract to supply injectable devices for diabetes sufferers.
The Mulhuddart-based firm, which is a subsidiary of the US group West Pharmaceutical Services, said the program involved the manufacture, assembly and decoration of a complex injectable device for the diabetes market and would go into full-scale production next year.
The new contract will require the expansion of the existing site by 12,000 square feet.
“This expansion reinforces the commitment to developing the Dublin capability as part of an ongoing long-term investment plan”
“This first phase in the expansion comes about as a result of an exciting win with a leading global pharmaceutical partner in the fast-growing diabetes market, and further strengthens West’s position as one of the world’s leading manufacturers of complex medical devices for the pharmaceutical market.”
